India’s biggest CGST Show Cause Notice to date
DGGI (Directorate General of GST Intelligence) has issued Show Cause Notices to Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal, and others linked to the Mahadev Book betting network for a GST liability exceeding Rs 40,603 crore.
The investigation claims a taxable value of around Rs 1.45 lakh crore has emerged. This Rs 40,603 crore is not the FINAL GST demand yet — it is a proposed liability.
The concerned individuals have 30 days to respond. If this demand holds up after adjudication, it will be one of the biggest tax cases in GST history.
